Tokyo Walking 10 東京ウォーキング
More walking around the Harajuku/Aoyama area. I often found myself fascinated by the different door designs I encounteredーand it was much easier to take photos of those than the buildings and houses that surrounded me on those narrow streets. I still have a bad habit of reading the name plates on houses/walls as I’m figuring out their kanji readings. Names are especially tricky in Japaneseーespecially many of the less common ones will have very irregular readings or rare kanji characters. It’s always an interesting learning experience, and I hope I never get caught! I don’t really think I could come up with a good explanation as to why I’m reading their name out loud as I pass their house… ^^;
This week’s Tokyo Walking shots are from in and around Harajuku/Omotesando/Aoyama.
All were taken on May 27th, 2011.

Hands up, who spotted the birdies?
