Tokyo Walking 2 東京ウォーキング
Throwback Thursday: I’d been in Tokyo just over a month and had seen almost only concrete no matter where I went. Taking a long walk down Meguro river proved to be both an eye-opening and encouraging experience. I was surrounded by greenery (and a lot of pink thanks to cherry blossom season), which was pretty new for me at the time. I’m still surprised (and put at ease) when I find new “green” spots in the city, as I feel they’re still too few and far between.
Although already late April, there were still plenty of cherry blossoms in bloom. These are of a different type from my first hanami at Meguro River.
I have to admit I was pleasantly surprised over how green Tokyo can be in some places
